A temperature-controlled cold chain facility with insulated sandwich panel walls and roofing, vapor barriers, and energy-efficient refrigeration support structures for perishable goods storage.
Building a cold chain facility in Jakarta's tropical climate required exceptional thermal performance to maintain -25°C frozen storage and +2°C chilled zones while minimizing energy consumption. The high humidity environment demanded meticulous vapor barrier design.
We engineered a thermally broken steel structure with 200mm PIR insulated panels achieving U-value below 0.15 W/m²K. All structural penetrations were sealed with specialized cold-bridge prevention details. The roof was designed with internal drainage to prevent condensation issues.
