A complex heavy steel structure for a thermal power plant including boiler support frames, turbine halls, coal handling systems, and auxiliary buildings. Engineered for extreme loads and seismic conditions.
The power plant required a massive boiler support structure capable of carrying 2,000+ tons of equipment at 80m height, along with turbine hall, coal handling system, and various auxiliary structures. All components needed to withstand extreme thermal cycling and vibration loads.
We engineered a heavy braced frame system using high-strength Q420 steel for the boiler structure, with specialized expansion joints to accommodate thermal movement. The turbine hall features a 36m span rigid frame with vibration-isolated turbine pedestals. All connections were designed for fatigue resistance under cyclic loading.
